Throwback Thursdays Art

Every Thursday, as part of my personal “enriched environment” initiative, I post a piece of art, usually from the Metropolitan Museum of Art, which recently released online some 400,000 high-resolution images of its collection.  All artwork will show a sun (or sunlight) somewhere.

I won’t name the piece or the artist, but instead invite you to study the art and post a comment addressing one or more of these questions:

  • What is going on in this picture?
  • What do you see that makes you say that?
  • What more can you find?

If you have another idea, run with it.

Note:  This week there’s no need to embiggen!  Just click on the picture!

  1. Ha Ha. You must be on vacation?! I didn’t expect this. I view your Thursday Throw Back art a lot, even though I don’t always write comments. I don’t know what to say about this. But maybe I’ll return. Your other Thursday art is often provocative and sometimes its too tough for me to say anything. I admire your spirit. In a sense your site is about Parkinson’s disease but many times it’s not, wh9ch may be your [point or just how the cards fall.

  2. The bunny and the duck are Communist perverts being chased out of America by Joe McCarthy, who blasts blasts blasts blasts blasts blasts then blasts some more as he tries to rid all of AMerica as well as Europe of Communist homosexual menaces. He does’t succeed for which I am glad. Too bad his underlings are still active in this stupid process today. The end.

  3. When Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck are in drag, which bathroom do they use, Men’s or Women’s? This could potentially cause outrage in some states in the Deep South. !!
