I had my annual physical exam with my primary care physician yesterday. Except for the Parkinson’s disease, I’m in tip-top shape.
Everything was great/normal/negative: blood pressure; weight; good cholesterol; bad cholesterol; other blood work; urinalysis; Hep A and Hep B vaccinations; testosterone level; heart; liver; lungs; eyeballs; prostate.
I was thrilled to write the sonnet I posted last night, which I drafted in a restaurant after my doctor’s appointment. I continue to tweak it today. My mind was upbeat as I wrote it, although to the casual reader the poem may sound like a downer.
