Pun-ishment

I made these up myself.  You’re welcome!

1.  Back in 1804, if both Vice President Aaron Burr and Treasury Secretary Alexander Hamilton had had Parkinson’s disease, Burr could have said to Hamilton, “I hereby challenge you to a drool!” And both would have lived to tell the tale.

2.  On the morning of the actual duel, Hamilton and Burr crossed the Hudson River from Manhattan to New Jersey, where the laws against dueling were lax. The duel took place on the narrow flatlands below the Palisades cliffs.  If, however, Burr had challenged Hamilton to a drooling contest, where would have been the better spot?  The New Jersey wetlands!

3.  My husband now says that sleeping in the same bed with me is “drool and unusual punishment.
