April Awe Walk, 2026

It’s a beautiful day outside the window of our hotel, and warm, too.  (So far this month it’s been mostly cold.).  Let’s go outside for an “Awe Walk!”

This spring, chartreuse is definitely in season!

Even this pink tree seems to have a bit of green in it!

Ditto this.

And this…

Here’s a bold fashion statement!  This fire hydrant wants to be a school crossing guard, hence the red flag.  Too bad there are no schools nearby, nor children just walking about.

On our walk, we cross a tiny brook using this footbridge.

There’s lots of garbage on the ground by the brook, but inside the clear water there are…

fish!

We pause here for our daily dose of Vitamin D!

Oh, there ain’t no use denyin’, I’m just a dandelion…

Our hotel allows people to check in with their dogs and cats.

Final photo:  the American flag and the POW/MIA flag.  How long have these been flying here?  Is this a comment on today’s overseas war?  For more info on the black-and-white POW/MIA flag, click here.
