Teachers College Columbia University, where I completed my doctorate in Applied Linguistics, is presenting me with a Distinguished Alumni Award this April.
I can’t really believe this is happening, but apparently the person who nominated me, my good friend and co-worker, Daniel Tamulonis, wrote an astounding recommendation urging Teachers College to select me, and the rest is history. Thank you, Daniel!
I was completely surprised when I received the news.
To read the bios of the people receiving awards, click here. There are three Distinguished Alumni winners, three Early Career Awardees, and one Alumni Award for Outstanding Service.
Again, I can’t believe this is happening.
More anon!
Never more deserved!! I’m grateful to Daniel for bringing you to Columbia’s attention.
