New Blog on the Block!

When I attended the World Parkinson Congress in Portland (Sept, 2016), I heard many impressive presentations and met dozens of Parkinson Superstars.  But the most amazing speech was given by Linda Olson, who lost both her legs and one arm in a horrible accident as a young woman.  She went on to raise a family with her husband, climb mountains and go kayaking, and then was diagnosed with Parkinson’s.

You need to click on two links now:

  1. Click here for my coverage of her presentation.  Make sure you do this while sitting on a rug or cushion, because your jaw will hit the floor.
  2. Click here for Linda’s brand new blog, “Get Out and Go!”  It’s full of information, inspiration, and insights into living a great life despite the odds stacked against you.

Her site contains a YouTube clip of her doing 22 one-armed push-ups; it’s amazing.

The site is attractively arranged and seems full of positive energy.  I admire it immensely.
