Suddenly Saliva

drool

I haven’t exercised for about two weeks because of a nasty cold that settled in my lungs and lurked there for like forever.  I tried going to the gym two times last week and it just brought back the phlegm-y cough.

What’s scary is that some of the early Parkinson’s symptoms that I had (and then lost once I got serious about exercise) returned.  Suddenly the past few days I’ve had excess saliva in my mouth, for example.  I also needed an extra hit of Sinemet to make it through the day, and a few times I felt dizzy – either because I needed more Sinemet, or I needed to eat something heavy; I wasn’t sure.  My right arm started trembling at night, which it hasn’t done in ages.

I cancelled my participation in a 2.5 kilometer open water swim race tomorrow, which devastates me.  (Can you use “devastate” in this situation?  Oh well, I just did….)

But tonight I did an hour of yoga stretching, and hope to be on the mend from this day forward.
