Parky Moves to a New Home

Parky the Raccoon, official mascot of the World Parkinson Coalition (for which I am an official blogger), was adopted today by yours truly, and moved this evening to his new home in suburban New York.

Shall we document the process?  With photos?  I hear he’s very photogenic!

1.  I pick up Parky at the world headquarters for the World Parkinson Coalition.  WPC’s head honchos Eli Pollard (r) and  Christiana Thurton (l) hand him over to me.  The bonding is instantaneous.

2.   We stop for dinner at Ippudo, a very “with it” ramen restaurant in Hell’s Kitchen.  Parky’s at ease leaning against some top grade sake (l) as well as New York City tap water (r).  It’s all good.

3.  We sit in Metro North‘s “Quiet Car” on the way home to the ‘burbs.  Nobody says a word!

4.  Parky gets acquainted with one of our household’s two felines, Toro.  (The other cat, Tako, is camera shy.)  (Slippers in background worn by my husband.)

5.  We check out what’s up on the Internet.

6.  After some light reading, we’ll call it a day!

You can buy your own Parky here!  All profits go to the WPC Travel Grants Program to support a junior researcher or person with Parkinson’s disease to attend the World Parkinson Congress 2016 in Portland!

And get this – among Parky’s many stellar qualities, he’s cuddly and doesn’t snore!
